Ashley is currently a student in the Licensed Professional Counselor Master's degree program through The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Ashley has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a certification in medical billing and coding.

Kaia attained a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

She is licensed as a professional counselor in training. Kaia has clinical experience working with children, teens, and adults across the lifespan—including older adults, and neurodivergent people. She provides trauma-informed care from a position of reverence for cultural diversity. A trained Brainspotting practitioner, Kaia supports people living with grief, trauma, pain, illness, depression, anxiety, negative body image, low self-worth, creative blocks, high sensitivity, perfectionism, procrastination, and other concerns as they move beyond coping to flourishing.

 

A music artist, poet, and Reiki Master as well as a psychotherapist, Kaia integrates expressive arts therapy, mindfulness, narrative therapy, somatic experiencing, play, and other holistic approaches based on client preferences. She is also Motivational Interviewing (MI) certified. By setting the stage and providing a safe space for exploration, Kaia supports children, teens, adults, and families as they create their own experiences of healing and transformation!

Ashley believes in listening to our bodies so we can better understand the cues and feelings that can lead us to living a more fulfilled life. Integrating mindful practices into her own life and working with clients in the criminal justice system has greatly helped shape her aspirations. 


Ashley's goals include helping individuals with short and long-term treatments to gain relief from symptoms, maintain or improve daily functioning, and improve quality of life by providing an environment that is safe and diverse by using clinical interventions such as: integrative therapy, systems therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational/open interviewing strategies. 


Ashley also has a desire to integrate holistic approaches that focus on the mind, body, and spirit, along with mindful practices including breath work, guided imagery, and mindfulness meditation.
